    Default Quotes Discussion

Submit all of your Asian-themed quotes here, with the full text and the author. If you wish to provide a translation in the native language as well, then by all means do so and it should be able to be provided in-game.

These quotes should be relative to the game, ie spiritual, military, economical, cultural, etc. So not something from a Chinese 2008 Olympian... obviously. That being said the person quoted doesn't need to be from this time frame, it just needs to have a relevant subject matter.

1180, an unprecedented period of peace and prosperity in East Asia, it's technology and wealth is the envy of the world. But soon conflict will engulf the entire region with great consequences and lasting effects for centuries to come, not just for this region, but the entire known world, when one man, one people, unites.....

Alright, here's a first crack, included almost all the onces provided by the posters here, and added a few more chinese quote.

we're only up to 45 so far, which is fairly low, the SS one for example is around 120-130 .

I would really hope to get a bit more quote from other culture, I could add it up to 100 or so just by myself with Chinese quotes, but then we'll end up with a quote log that has like 95% Chinese stuff and 5% everything else... (right now it's already like 65% chinese )

ok i'll go look around, I tested the quotes in my game but it seems that the Chinese / Japanese / Korean charactors won't show up , but SS managed to get Greek letters to show up so there must be someway around that I think...

I'll keep adding as I find good quotes.

Actually, the "scatter your enemies, rape their woman and make their loved ones weep" quote is also reportedly said to come from a dialogue between Great Khan and Kublai, his grandson-when genghis khan was dying,he asked his grandson what is the greatest joy according to him. When Kublai said that it is to "vanquish your enemies, to chase them before you, to rob them of their wealth, to see those dear to them bathed in tears, to clasp to your bosom their wives and daughters.”"",the great khan answered:"no,it's riding your horse on the steppe, with wind blowing through your hair and an eagle on your arm"
