What Program is used to make the 3D Battle Maps?

I was wondering this, as i have never encountered any program with RTW as such?:hmmm:

I bought Far Cry 2 (FC2 from now on) and it has a wicked Map Builder for Xbox 360, PS3, PC etc and i was wondering if the FC2 PC Editor Program could be used to make maps for RTW?:hmmm:

Just a theory, because it is easy to use (maps in under 1hr) and fairly inexpensive.

I think RTW has its own battlemap editor

If you add the switch -enable_editor to your shortcut target you will find another thing to select on the options menu.....

I thought it didn't work after RTW 1.2 but it's there. I've not tried to use it.

These battle maps are used for custom battles and historical battles. I don't think they are tied in with locations on the strategy map - but I am sure one of the map guys can explain how that works. Or - maybe look in the modders part of the forum.
