battle reinforcements glitch

ok when i was fighting a battle neer arretium i ahd 2 legions stationd there and a decent garrison. i wanted to fight the battle with only one legion. so i unselected auto control. but then i start the battle and the reinforcements are still deployed ... not cool im taking more casualties than i should be... any oen know how to fix this?

by the way by this i meen that ai controlls them ^^

umm actualy i altered the formation of the legion to a routing formation (the one that guy used against hannibal and got souronded cannae i think it was... lol 1% casualties to the gauls 87%

How the hell is it possible to only have 1% of casualties? Some thing is not right. If you unselect the AI autocontroled legion and you take a look at your enemies troops it will automaticaly re select your reinforcing legion.

hard to say how large enemy army was or whatever. But what he mentioned happened to me as well

It always happens. When you check the "AI control" box on the battle deployment window, all that means is that the reinforcement army will march onto the field as soon as it arrives, and will fight under the control of the AI as a separate allied army. If you uncheck the "AI control" box, the reinforcement army will wait on the edge of the battlefield, and you will receive one unit from it that you can control for each unit of your main army that you lose.
