Changing starting settlements
Just a quick question:
Is there any easy way to change the starting settlements of a faction? For instance Kievan Rus owning Bucharest or something similar?

Re: Changing starting settlements
I know how to do it with Rebel Settlements just goto Stainless steel 6.1/Data/world/maps then custom or imperial campaign depending on which one you want to edit and open Descr_strat
Then just press ctrl + f and type the name of the settlement you want and copy all of its entry and delete it. Then find the faction you want to add it too and paste it at the end of the factions listed regions.
You'll have to ask the others if the region is owned by a faction as it probaly has units or a general inside and they need to be moved and edited aswell thats a bit tricky

Re: Changing starting settlements
You have to edit descr_strat.txt in the Stainless_Steel_6\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign for the early era or data\world\maps\campaign\custom\Late_Era_Campaign for the late era campaign.

Re: Changing starting settlements
make sure you change the garrison as well - remove the rebel one and make a new one for the relevant faction.

Re: Changing starting settlements
Worked!
Awesomeness. Removed every Kievan Rus territory (save for Kiev) and added Iasi and Bucharest to their starting settlements.
Screw being historically correct, I want to have at it with the Byzantines and Hungarians!
