    Default Saves?

Where would I put saves if I had to reinstall SS to continue my campaign?

For 6.X (and Kingdoms versions in general), that would be

    ...Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\saves

If the folder doesn't exist (Varies from game to game on install), create it.

actually i'd recommend making a new folder outside the Sega folder and copying your existing saves immediately prior to uninstalling.

move the old saves to the new installation when you make one

(note - can't guarantee any saved games will be playable / compatible with any changes you make to the new set-up or had made to your original set-up)

(What you do if you have Vista i dunno yet - but have horrible feeling i'm going to finding out real soon.)
