    Default The most challanging AI in Stainless Steel

    I cannot decide which sub-mod provide me best AI; both in battle and on the campaign map (I'd like to see AI factions with huge amount of forces) . I consider RR/RC and alone Gracul's patch 6,2.

    I'm not interested with supply system, or DLV like paying for armies or characters, but I appreciate Garrison script

    Actually, I play with Lusted's AI.

    Which mod would be more suitable to me ?

    I'm a big fan of Lusted's. I tried many different AIs over past years and this is the one that plays best for me...

    I'm enjoying the newest RR/RC which includes Gracul's 6.2 patch. The AI is pretty good on the campaign map and battle map and the AI has large forces of quality troops. I dislike the supply system as well. It does come standard with RR/RC, but is easily removed without causing issues.

    I recommend you RR/RC for campaign
    and XBAI for battle

    Which files from RR/RC should I copy to my SS folder if I want to use ONLY campaign AI ?

    AI in turn based games is always going to be mediocre at least untill quantum mechanics or really advanced AI is designed.

    I Think lusted offers the best AI for the moment though by far

    You just have to help the AI yourself if you want a challenge but at the end of the day its still only a monkey with a tank instead of a monkey with a handgun.

    Try to wipe out a faction and then give all of that region to the likes of say HRE or France and then move on to other areas and come back to defeat them much later on it can be quite challenging fighting 8 to 10 stacks from HRE or France.

    Another fun thing to do is waiting for HRE to become excomunicated and call a crusade on them and try to take all of HRE and then gift it all to the pope. The pope is one of the hardest enemies to fight in this game by far
    if he becomes strong

    if you want to use rr/rc campaign and xbai battle then you just install rr/rc
    normally and when you finished put the xbai files into the data folder(you
    need to put the small change wich takes 12.5 secs to integrate xbai with rr/
    rc)

    Last time I checked, AI was kicking human arses in Chess... and it's definitely a turn-based game.

    Thats simply because most people dont know how to play chess. The average player uses there Queen like cavalry in TW and find that after 2 turns they no longer have a queen. Their Bishops follow shortly after.

    How the average person plays chess is much like Charging your General into a stack of Aventuros. Then do the same with your cavalry.Resulting is enemy General charging there peasants and routing them.

    Just because the person playing isnt any good dosent make the AI decent its just means the person playing is less than mediocre.

    Yeah. I hope he's whipping the **** out of the AI team.

    AI was never a strong point of TW games and it's a perfect opportunity to change that.

    Let me guess you started playing TW games with ROME. MTW AI beat the crap out of all the TW and mods together. It also helped the way you could move but still it kicked arse
    Oh no the picture of my dog disappeared!

    quote from rr/rc tread
    If you want to use another BattleAI, make sure that you have the following text at the top of the data/battle_config.xml file:

    <config>
    <!-- global combat balancing factors -->
    <combat-balancing>
    <missile-target-accuracy>
    <infantry>1.0</infantry>
    <cavalry>1.4</cavalry>
    <elephants>0.6</elephants>
    </missile-target-accuracy>

    <melee-hit-rate>2.00</melee-hit-rate>

    actually those changes should be at top of battle_config.xml file
