Easy way to control Carthage in Sicily

Hi,
We all know that if the AI wants a city,they will send army after army. What i did was i let messana riot. Then when it turned to roman rebels Carthage and Greece sent armys to take it over and LOST!:hmmm:Then again and again and again and are still losing:hmmm: My point is that in MY game carthage is not going to give up without taking messana. WHICH means that there lands are empty. Really all there cities in africa are little to none. I have already made my move into there land and will just wait out sicily. As i said again this might of only happened in my game. LOL There was at 1 point 8stacks in sicily

Interesting. I think that I took the city very easily and fast. Never happened that Greeks would send anything after me. They are busy in Asia

Well most of us got tired of the weak reactions of carthage, so we want to fight them. If you try to take sicilia first you will need to fight these armies as well this was some thing that didn' t happen in my 6.4 campaign and now it did and i just loved it. So for me no, i am not going to try this becous it made the game more fun to me when i had to fight of carthage that hard on sicilia.

Smth like that. I would find that a exploit to make the game easier. So that is a NO NO

Yeah Carthage and greecs used plenty of them, carthage when i invaded Sicilia and greece afther i took Sicilia. Realy nice to have them.

in my campagn its around 207bc im moving north into gaul (without genua it should be noted) as the gauls have 3 stacks there wich im sendign vibius julius to deel with. should be a breaze then ill start invading sicilie and from there illl take carthago and from there send my invasion into southern iberia

ps i just got my first 10 star general he onyl 10 star against gauls though otherwise hes 9 star

Be careful about his loyalty, very often high star generals start to revolt incl. their army. Happened to me in my last campaign with Quintus,

This is against the houserules to turn a town into roman rebels, not very impressive as exploits are easy to use.

so the house rules say you can't sink a fleet just cause you see troops on it or some such. So what about just sinking every enemy ship in your waters? Is that an exploit or violation of the house rules?That's my SOP

as stated in readme, its so cool to have invasion on your hands! Plus, imagine how big the seas were back there to control. They had no map to just move the ships, shouldnt be abused as you can see it all!

if your consistent about it then i think it's fine

i tend to ignore navy's - they never seem to do much in my campaigns anyway and the money can be better used elsewhere

plus i quite like the occasional attack behind my boarders

sure you may sink a fleet with an army on it, thats just the way of life. but dont go specifically after those fleets with armies on them, because that wouldnt be any fun unless the enemy would learn from their mistakes. cunclusion: sure you may sink armies, but dont make it impossible for the enemy to function properly because that would take the fun out of it.
