got a problem with XGM mod

is this the right forum? sorry if it aint.

i purchased RTW complete , which includes RTW gold and alexander , i didnt really want to bother with alexander , so i downloaded and installed RTW gold , it ran fine .

I then downloaded XGM , installed it , but when it runs it comes up with an error 'apllication error - failed to find steam ' , and asks my firewall to let BI connect to steam , it then just loads up the steam community page .

any help be great.


edit - edited out errors . i can still load and play standard RTW ok .

It's apparently being worked on and No, this isnt the right forum but i dont think thats a problem. A moderator may move it.

thanks , i found the XGM forum and reposted in there , a mod can delete this i guess if it shouldnt be here .

Make sure you install XGM to the RTW: Gold folder in Steam (the default install folder is for the retail version, so you have to change it). Then right click on RTW:Gold in your "My games list" and click "Set launch properties." Type in "-show_err -nm -mod:xgm" without the quote marks. Then just launch BI and it should work.
