    Default The Long Road version 2.2 - Medieval Total World

    Welcome to The Long Road 2.2 - Medieval Total World!

    In this mod you will find new things;

    Militia are from the towns.
    There are now Halberdiers for factions with Halberd Hilitia.
    it is the same type of unit just with a higher cost, better morale and skill, less frequent availability;
    to be expanded to other factions.
    Sicily has Archer Militia.
    Regular and elite troops from keeps.
    Knights and elite troops are less frequent to buy and train.
    Militia and peasants will be the stock of many armies.
    Buildings are expanded and more developed.
    Agents come from many sources; will see them used more by AI factions.
    Lord Condormanius Captains and Sergeants.
    My Little Mod.
    Cities and Castles Mod.
    Real Horses.
    plus all the familiar mods added before.

    There has been much work the EDB and EDU
    Elite units and Knights have high morale and more staying power.
    Militia units are superior to peasants
    Regular units take control from militia
    Regular, Elite and Knight units less common.
    Battle AI and Formations are also new.
    Many scripts have been changed and will reflect a new feel for the mod it has been missing.
    Fixed are the problems with money scripts and ancillaries.
    Names still may need some work.
    Overall, the mod should just play.

    There are no win conditions, so activity and updated modified 'descr_missions' determines diplomacy, might, and trade. Be on your guard!

    Now I will get to work adding new factions and new
    units to this mod to give it its needed longevity.

    The list of "to-do's" for 2.2.1 to 2.3;
    Add more units.
    Expand current unit selections to other factions.

    Instructions;

    Unzip and put into(or unzip into) Medieval II Total War folder.

    take TLR Batch file and make shortcut for desktop or use your own method.

    ok just came across this myself. The game just adds the characters in. The descr_strat file I have to post. That is left over form when tornight brought all the pop levels down in the old game. Pop. cannot be below 500persons.

    this goes into The Long Road/data/world/campaign/imperial_campaign.

    when does it quit? how, what are you doing when it happens?

    If it is during turn switch I may have to look at money scripts again.

    ok, you need to go into the M2TWfolder/data and get rid of the files the say geography... Then your battles will be able to play. Honestly, if your game is quitting like that, it isn't the mod.

    Game generates error stil, despite your recommendation. I have noticed one thing, error appears when rebel begin attack on me. It wasn't it earlie, maybe because rebels didn't attacked me. Such record has appeared in certain moment:

    Really rebels wanted to carry crusade? So, I thing, that reason of error is mod. Don't get me wrong, this mod is fine, but can you chek one more time these rebels?

    change the battle AI. I may have to regard the campaign AI again!

    Use the Battle AI it came with. Try that!

    Ok I found 2 problems, including a crash. I'm trying to play a 2.0 savegame
    First problem is some names are messed up (with question marks etc)
    Second problem is the crash; I just exiting the battle, loading the campaign map when I crashed...

    Seems I'm missing cursors and icons? I'm playing with Medieval 1.2 Spanish (EU) version...Is 1.3 necessary?

    Ok hope you know whats wrong (dont want to download 2.0 again)

    Interesting...........The version you have is the version I am playing. You even have the games that I am running. Everything. Names were not perfect when tornight was doing this. Sometimes they work fine. Sometimes not. As far as the rest, the last time I had this issue, I needed to unpack.

    Unpack what? I already extracted the .zip files (the download)
    Are you talking about reinstalling?

    After reinstalation Medieval 2 I instaled patch 1.02 -> 1.03 and TLR 2.0 and copy new TLR 2.2 to The Long Road folder. After copy file descr_strat from Condottiere SOG. Now game work fine, at last. I hope it will work for long time.

    in m2tw folder there is a file called tools. click on unpack all.

    It is what I can tell you so far some of the things that are coming up only come up when i forget to unpack after a fresh install.

    Unfortunately, error has appeared agai, in same moment. Even unpack does not help.
