What's the different for difficulty of the game

Hi, All
Who can tell me what's the meaning of the difficulty for the game?
I always want to play the HV/HV so that I can challenge my ability on both strategy and tactic. But if the AI just cheat, I don't think it's a fair or really difficulty. I think the most difficult level should be realest.
So when I read LT's words that the VH/VH is not necessary for SPQR, I am supprised that the computer AI is cheating.

LT has already balanced the game to be hard but fair on M/M.

Whenever you raise the difficulty, it doesnt mean AI will be smarter. It will just have bonuses way higher then usually, making it a tougher opponent

i think that harder levels prob count as cheating, i might be wrong but i believe that the ai just gets +4/+7 (h/vh) stats in battle difficulty and extra money for campaign difficulty

Read SPQR faq...M/M and with houserules and you see that you get a challenge from the first turn.

If you start on VH/VH you will never be able to finish your game, if gauls send 2 armies in one turn on M/M thy will probebly send 6 on VH/VH you will never be able to beat them with only one legion to start with. Thy get more of every thing.

Well I doubt their pop growth will raise couple times but still, having them hard to rout, thats impossible to survive without taking SEVERE casualties

Well more then me, but since I have a fresh version of 7.0, I might give it a bit of insight as well. Once I understand all the console commands

I have it for some time now, but I still play only my 6.4 campaign. Actually, is there something like console command list, which I can use to solely test various things in game? Like Id like to see Gauls send more armies on me, but want to focus just there, not bother with Carthage

I don' t think there are console commands to send more armies of one specific faction.

You know, we talked about the difficulty, if it makes AI send more stacks at you, Id like a commands to like kill the carthaginians and all that stuff. For testing of course only.
