    2008 Modding Awards M2TW/Kingdoms-based Nominations Thread Only

    It's Time!!!!!!!!! Please submit your 2008 Modding Award nominations for Medieval 2 and its expansions in this thread for both individual and team awards. Rome/BI/Alexander based nominations may be placed in this linked thread.

    That's right, time to nominate those whom you feel have done exceptional work on created community made modifications on the TW engines. It would help us if you could include the nominee's name linked to their profile for the individual awards. Please be aware of the rules for nominations:

    Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 

    RULES

    1. Failure to abide by these rules may result in your nomination being ignored.
    2. Each nominee requires 3 nominations for each category in order to be shortlisted for the voting process.
    3. You may make up to 2 nominations per category. The order of listing does matter and extra nominations after the 2nd will be ignored.
    4. Do NOT post nominations in a category where your would-be nominee already has the requisite 3 nominations.
    5. Do not engage in throwing opinions about concerning the nominees and/or categories. This is not a discussion thread. You may make comments in the general announcement thread.
    6. Do NOT nominate yourself.
    7. In cases of nominations of non-graphical nature, links or adequately supported information must be provided of the nominee's personal work that he/she is being nominated for, otherwise the nomination will be declared void.
    8. In cases of nominations of graphical nature (models, skins, 2d art, mapping) at least 1 in-game screenshot per category must be provided of the nominee's personal work, otherwise the nomination will be declared void.
    9. Nominees must be nominated for work produced (or publicly previewed with in-game screenshots in case of 2d art, unit skins and models) in 2008, otherwise nominations are considered void.
    10. Only individuals are eligible for nomination in the "Modder" awards, nominations of whole teams are considered void.
    11. In cases of submod nominations, the nominated submod must bear significant modifications compared to the parent-mod and it must be officially endorsed by the parent-mod team, the name of which must also be provided, otherwise the nomination is considered void.



    The Categories, Medieval 2/Kingdoms-based modifications:


    Mod (Team) Awards


    M2TW/Kingdoms

    Favourite Mod
    (Award given for the favourite overall *released* fully-playble mod for M2TW or Kingdoms. No criteria for selection - this is your personal choice.)

    Favourite Medieval Timeframe Mod
    (Award given for the favourite modification set in the Medieval timeframe.)

    Favourite non-Medieval Timeframe Mod
    (Award given for the favourite modification set before or after the Medieval timeframe.)

    Favourite Submod/Stand-alone minimod
    (Award given for the favourite submod (modification of another mod) and stand-alone minimod (stand-alone focused project applied to vanilla or other mods) for M2TW or Kingdoms.)

    Favourite 2D Art Award
    (Award given to the mod that has excelled in such aspects as original UI, Game Interface, Icons, Loading Screens, etc. Images taken from movies and other copyrighted material should not be considered original.)

    Favourite Original Audio Award
    (Award given for the favourite original audio modification to TW. Can be any audio content (e.g., music, voice, sound effect) but must be original (movie theme tunes, etc., do not count.)

    Favourite Map Award
    (Award given to an individual or team which has produced a unique and aesthetically pleasing map from concept to end product.)

    Best Campaign AI Award
    (Given for the best campaign AI mod.)

    Best Battle AI Award
    (Given for the best battle AI mod.)

    Most Promising Mod Award
    (Modification cannot yet be released to the public.)

    Most Helpful/Responsive Modding Team Award
    (Award given to the team that provides the quickest, friendliest and most helpful support to their fans' questions.)


    Modder (Individual) Awards

    Best Modder
    (Individual, working alone or as a team member, who has gone beyond the call of duty.)

    Best Scripting Award
    (Given to the individual who has shown a remarkable aptitude for not only scripting, but also for advancing our knowledge of the topic itself.)

    Best Coding award
    (Given to the individual who has shown a remarkable aptitude for not only coding, but also for advancing our knowledge of the topic itself.)

    Best Unit Model Artist Award
    (An award given to an individual in respect to all battle ready units/buildings to show excellence in modeling.)

    Best Unit Texture Artist Award
    (An award given to an individual in respect to all battle ready units/buildings to show excellence in skinning.)

    Best Mapper Award
    (An award given to the individual who has created the most skilfully crafted map)

    Best 2d Artist Award
    (An award given to an individual in respect to in-game UI art, banners, loading screens etc, NOT signatures/avatars)

    Best Tools Award
    (Given to the individual who has contributed valuable and functional programs/tools to the community.)

    Mentor Award
    (Given for consistent and insightful help in mentoring modders, would-be modders or both)

    Scholars Award
    (Given to the individual whose contributions to the "Tutorials and Guides" section have most helped the modding community.)
