    Default Scrolling is torture.

First off, this is a great Mod. Awesome in every sense of the word.
But a problem I'm having is during gameplay, scrolling around the world map.
My computer scrolls incredibly slow. It seems it gets worse as the campaign progresses also. Almost like the bigger my kingdom is, the slower it goes. Over territories that are still covered by "fog of war" it seems to be better.
During battle it seems to struggle scrolling also.

Lower your settings. Turn off campaign shadows and resolution.

also if you have something highlighted such as a unit or city or whatever it scrolls a lot slower so make sure you have nothing highlighted with the mouse as well what fieldmarshal said and everything should be fine. Hope this helps.

I think it is at its slowest in the middle of Germany and Russia with all the forests and stuff.

Ok, I took up the advice. Turned shadows off and lowered a couple of other settings. It did help.
Though ultimately, I think I could use a better Graphics card.
I presently have an Nvidia 7300LE.

    Thanks

I had the same problem, in addition to what has been suggested above: increase the max size of your Virtual Memory on your harddrive, and add more memory to your computer (512 you'll be noticeably slow, 1 gig is good, 2 is better). Better graphics card can really help, especially those with lots of ram on them.

Also, if you play the game for a long time in one sitting and you notice it getting slower as time goes on, save and reboot your machine, reload and you'll be back up to speed.

I have 4 gigs of RAM and I still have to turn campaign shadows off to get decent scrolling speed. This feature is clearly broken.

It depends what do you consider "pretty much fluid". Persoanlly I prefer "fluid" over "pretty much fluid".

Campaign shadows add nothing to gameplay anyway. And as EU and EB fan, I'm used to playing ugly games just for their gameplay value.
