Tech-tree in your 0.99.x installations?
One player pm'ed me, that his tech-tree is wrong (feudalisation building string) ... as example here is Paris: building-browser Paris at the start

If you have not the full 'feudalisation' available in Paris, then please immediately say so here in this thread. Full feudalisation in Paris means all feudalisation string/buildings available in all tiers (the fourth line in the building browser).

Re: Tech-tree in your 0.99.x installations?
The question above is very important for me ... please a few players, start 0.99.x or 0.99.10, and check France at the start ... and tell me what you see in the building browser of Paris.
The answers will tell me, if the 0.99 files can be installed properly or not. Although i've tested it with a fresh chiv 0.99 installation, everything works fine in my case.
EDIT
Also inform me if you have Vista (i have XP), because that base might cause issues for RTW and mod installations.

Re: Tech-tree in your 0.99.x installations?
the problem's certain;y not with Vista, because vista asks when something needs to be overwritten, so that couldn't be the problem

Re: Tech-tree in your 0.99.x installations?
I just checked it and Paris does have full feudalization. London in my main campaign does also, dont know if that helps. I use Vista, so not a problem there.

Re: Tech-tree in your 0.99.x installations?
Thank you, this helps
Then everything is okay, and the player who pm'ed me has a problem on his side: installation ... i don't know how to solve that issue for him, as it must have to do with the installation process or the basic RTW installation.

Re: Tech-tree in your 0.99.x installations?
you can just name me ;D (and london has feudalisation with me)
since chivalry is installed in the original RTW folder, i'll just re-install Vanilla and then chiv....but i don't think it has something to do with the RTW installation, since chiv uses it's own data folder wich is complete...

Re: Tech-tree in your 0.99.x installations?
Let me know it when you are playing a correct chiv version
... but if you have re-installed and the issue stays, then you can upload here as attachment or sent it via pm to me, file: export_descr_buildings.txt ... i'm curious how it looks like. Same for descr_regions.txt in the camp folder.

Wait, and see your pm-box. And then go there http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...47#post4170147 and test the Hotfix 0.99.10.2 for RTW exe player only, just a minute ago added. Tell me if this works now.

Delete Spore seeing as you cant play it anyway without a cd drive
plus you can download and use cd cracks without a virtual drive

Re: Tech-tree in your 0.99.x installations?
that's the mistake many people make yes

Bull, you should be able to buy a new dvd drive, aren't you? ... as it is not very expensive.
Btw., please stay ontopic. Next posts that aren't related to the topic-title, and discuss merely system-technical things have to be removed.

Re: Tech-tree in your 0.99.x installations?
ontopic: well, ink i installed it correct now (used 7z, it's indeed ALOT easier then winRaR, winrar doesn't have to option "unzip here" -you know, the option to unzip files into a folder- because i always had to do that manualy in winrar, and i think that was the problem.
i will see
and Davinci, i may answer your question right? yes, i have brought my PC to a branch were they will not only put in a new Cd-drive, but also clean up unneccesary files!!!
i think i will have my computer back within 2-3 days, i can check the installation then
(i hope i did it right, since i know Davinci's favorite faction is France i just HAVE to destroy it with the HRE
)

Re: Tech-tree in your 0.99.x installations?
Offtopic on: Why a cd-drive, better a dvd-drive /offtopic off.
French faction is my favourite faction if i intend to play as crusader faction, alternative Norman Sicily, as the Norman branch of the crusaders, in this timeframe.
France reflects the Franks, which were the dominant power in the crusader states, that's the reason.
And the "Franks" as term reflect historically not only the West-Franks (France), but for everybody outside of europe the european christians invading the near-east as crusaders (or call it Holy Land), ie. including the german positioned East-Franks, Saxons, and the Lothringian, Flemish, Burgundian people etc. ... i believe even some of the Italians were partly considered as Franks by the muslim inhabitants of the near-east, since the times of Charlemagne the Great, aside to the term "Latin" people. The tech-tree and the merc-pool along with the unit naming considers this to a good degree.
