    Default Persian Strategy

Im trying to build the Persian Empire exactly how it was but i cant build much of an army at one point i was 40,000 in debt and all i had to show for it was salmis i think its called and babylon and Ur meanwhile the Babylonians lauched their attack and then the Medes attacked about 3 cities at a time....is there a good strategy to expand or do you just have to take the beatings for awhile?

but if you want to start making serious cash (and be able to train heavy infantry killing peltasts) then try and conquer the provinces on the arabian peninsula that are on the persian golf and build ports and trade merchants etc you'll have absolutely 0 money problems after a short amount of time.
