Default Is my computer good enough?

Sorry if this topic has a thread already, looked for one but no luck.

Anyways, I have a 2 GB with 2.4GHz (i think) and an Nvidia 256MB graphics card. When I first got vanilla, the game was running great even on higher settings. Recently, however, I've had to scale back some of the detail, especially when fast-forwarding. My question is, will my computer be able to handle Stainless Steel (and possibly Crimson Tide) at a suitable quality and speed? If not, then I don't think I will splurge the dough for Kingdoms (only have M2TW, no expansion). Thanks a lot, and I just registered because you all seem like a great community.

    Here is my specs -

    Overclocked 512mb 8800 GT
    2.4GHz quad core processor
    3.2GB's of RAM (Windows 32-bit)
Two 500GB hard drives (linked for a RAID configuration, so one terrabyte)
    22" monitor (1050x1680 resolution)

I run Stainless Steel with all my graphical settings up, including shadows/anti-aliasing. The game runs smoothly, but can clutter with all the speed all the way up while thousands of units are on the battlefield.

So to answers your question...uh...if you ran vM2TW fine, you should be able to run Stainless Steel just fine. Ending a turn might take about 20 seconds, but I think you're good to go.

Don't worry I'm running SS 6.1 and Crimson Tide on a double core 1,6Gh 1,5Gb Ram and on an half integrated laptop Graphichs card and on Vista. I had to lower resolution one step, but I have it on medium settings without any problems.

So don't worry, you should not have a problem.

Try this site...It scans your computer and all you have to do is scroll down for the game you want to test and see how it "should" run..... It is updated all the time so the new games will be included.
