    Default Princesses

So I've noticed that the game promptly notifies you whenever a princess of a rival faction is "grown", my question is - what is the purpose of this ? I have not been able to approach a princess and get her to marry into my faction despite eligible bachelors (I purposely didn't marry them off to test if I could do this). I have to be missing something here because there would be no way SS developpers would tell us these tidbits without then including everything else like when rival family members mature as well.

Yes they are there to let you know so you can get them married into your family. But you can only get your current faction heir married to a princess, not just some schmo in your family tree.

Don't forget the faction leader too

Although I am not big on cheats I usually use "toggle_fow" on the console to actually find the princesses if I want to marry them. I don't really consider this a cheat, considering the whole idea of having a princess wander around the map is a little ridiculous.

(I wish instead of having the diplomats and princesses wander around, you could install them in your own capital or in foreign capitals. And diplomats should be able to arrange the marriage of a princess... the presence of the princess herself shouldn't be necessary, since this is not how it happened in real life and makes the whole process tedious. But this is not a complaint on SS, more on how M2TW handles them.)

Oh yeah forgot about him. Although In my games it is very rare to have a faction leader who is unmarried. All the leaders at the start of the campaigns are already married and by the time the heirs get their turn in the big chair they've been married for many years and have already pumped out the next generation

Urgh, lucky for you. 2tpy, combined with Gracul's anti-dynasty tweaks means I frequently end up with some randomer on the throne :s

I'm sure I will too once I get enough time to actually play rather than mod

All diplomatic interactions are unfortunately. It would be good though and historically accurate too. Younger sons and daughters were still involved in diplomatic marriages as much as the heirs were.

Weren't you able to in the original Medieval? Something like princesses get married to the oldest princes first.

Well you can marry your own princesses to your own family members, just not other people's princesses.

would be nice to have princess markers so you can find them, but each time i use my own princesses they either fail or just run off with another factions general. Ill stick to my diplomates and sell the women to the highest bidder.

Leave it to the modder to perfect the works of the paid developers for no profit at all.
