My best general was in RTW with the seleucides, died at 65 He was Gyras the Conquerer everyting was at max at 25 he helped me conquered all of Egypt, killed off Parthians, Armenian and Pontus. Died in Greece after capturing it.By himself he captured half on the Map. The proof is here having a great general can make a difference winning or loosing a battle.

I hate the ones that die on boats
Leave it to the modder to perfect the works of the paid developers for no profit at all.
I don't remember my best general from RTW, but I had a pretty good one in my last game as Leon-Castille in SS. He was 25, 7 command stars, and night fighter + at home in the dark (so 9 command stars when attacking at night) and siege engineer/education (10 command stars when besieging at night).
he was awesome. Mendo the Conqueror. I would just send him into enemy territory and he'd start picking off enemy full-stack armies... with the Night Fighter ability, the enemy doesn't get any reinforcements, and i have a big command star advantage. He died of the plague after taking a French citadel (it was a BLOODBATH).I was so crushed by his death that I just auto-resolved the battles for 3 more tiny towns so i could get 25 territories and complete the campaign.

the best general i have ever seen was the one that mongolian hordes have...
Well, it was my sicily campaign. I had a general who, at only 28 years old, had 10 command and 8 dread. He had conquered all of italy, north africa, and was almost finished the the venetians(who had destroyed th byzzies). he was in the making of the best general ever. But I have a tragic story.
He was fighting a venetian army, and was defending a bridge. they had 1 unit of reinforcements, a xbow unit. I had lots of xbows and archers on fire arrows, so the big army routed almost the instant they touched my men, and they were low quality compared to my dis.knights. i lost a grand total of 0 men in the defence. anyway, just as they were finished, their crossbows made it to near their side of the bridge. My general, who was chasing routers, formed up and charged them. It would have been easy. But the moment my lances touched them, the exact instant, they fired. and guess who was the only man to die?
You got it. The general. Needless to say, that unit of crossbows was never seen again.
i will perhaps post a screenie of him. his name is Roi Marcel the Conqueror and he has i believe 7 command, 9 chivalry, 10 authority and 10 piety![]()
E:TW's natives have developed a new "Ballistic Automatic Detection And Seeking System" to utterly annihilate any European that sets foot on their soil... That's BADASS for short!
My Faction Heir, 8 command, 10 dread, 10 loyalty, and 10 piety.
uhh test
edit: erh i be darned it works ^^ well here's Marcel
edit2: without cheats ofcourse ehh... it's kinda lame to be proud of a good general you cheated....
ps: i wish he hadn't lost that one painfull battle... he now has the "personal loss" trait... if he didn't had that trait he would have had 9 command....

Is that an accurate map or fantasy like? I suck at geography so I wouldn't know, but I don't recognize it.
it's a fantasy world that slightly resembles the real world, but then mixed up. there's a "new world" with the aztecs and warriors of Kukulcan
the things i like about the mod:
-gunpowder invented in turn 2 or 3. (trough u wont see any natives with gunpowder lol. dont worry)
-gunpowder works properly (musketeers and the like come in groups of 30 and make big penalty to enemies morale muhahaha)
-pike works properly. they massacre everything but they are slow and very susceptible to arrow fire
-there's pirates!!!!!!!! oi well acutally 'The league of Privateers' but with the papacy no longer issuing privatering licenses, u can call them pirates![]()
