noob with a few questions
hey guys, i've been just starting to look for some good mods for my total war game after my experience with VanillaMod and it seems this mod is the most interesting, but i just have some questions,
1. is the AI in this mod challenging at all? cause when i was using VanillaMod, even though the AI's have huge armies because they get free money every turn, they still suck at using those armies both in campaign map and on the battle field, so i was wondering if this mod's AI are more challenging, or is there another AI mod i should download in addition to this mod?
2. wuts supply traits?
i might have more questions later but thx for any info

Re: noob with a few questions
1.Patch of gracul 6.2 will give you a headche about "challanging".In real terms AI at VH/VH will chew you like a pirahnia.
2.The supply mean when you invade a enemy region will have some logistical problem is an enemy so food, munition depply soon. This low yor morale-2 or -3 affecticting your battle when ai sally or getting a reinforcing army who start a battle.

Chronic-If you have never played anything but Vanilla, the world is about to turn for you my friend. Stainless Steel is excellent and very easy to get chewed up on VH/VH. Also try KCGM mod for excellent AI on the map and in battles.

Re: noob with a few questions
Let's just say that I've installed SS 6.2 and it's a new game for me (played nothing but vanilla until now). It is fantastic.
Though I started a H/H 6.2 campaign and lasted 50 turns before the English started trailing MANY stacks up to Edinburgh. So I've restarted with a M/H campaign and it's more to my taste.
Was thinking the battles were a little easy...and then I made the mistake of taking an first era Scottish army to continental Europe to try and snag a beach-head rebel province...yep, that ended badly.

Re: noob with a few questions
thx for all the good info, i still have a question tho...
it is one thing that the AI just keep spamming units cause they have the money cheat, but its another to play smart, I've been playing with the Ultimate AI mod for a bit now and i like it alot, but still even though the AI is a lot smarter, but they still do retarded things like randomly siege one of my settlements with a very small force (usually about the same size as my garrison) when they have huge stacks of army just sitting right outside chilling... i'm like, ok...
so ya, when i say "challenging", i meant more in the sense that the AI is smart, not that they can spam countless stacks of peasants
anyway thx for the input

Re: noob with a few questions
If you play Gracul patch will not seen ai stupid at all.Imagine this you play with Venice for example. You take 1-2 rebel settlemants than HRE thinks your capitol is better on Kaiser autority. So they will siege Venice but in same time will send a stackk against Florence, Zagreb and in 1 turn their allys Genova, and Hungary will siege Ancona, and the dalmatian fortress. And you wonder if you will survive with Crete and Caffa.Did I mention the cavalry charge the non spears units and the stacks are very diverse and strong?

Re: noob with a few questions
Hi, it might be a noob question and couldnt find a 'ask question' thread so...
Can anyone confirm for me exactly what benefits experience give to a unit? My assumption at the moment is as follows:
Infantry - Increased Melee +1/3 levels + Increased Morale
Ranged - Increased Melee +1/3 levels + Increased Accuracy + Increased Morale
Mounted - Increased Melee +1/3 levels + Increased Morale
Siege - Increased Melee +1/3 levels + Increased Accuracy + Increased Morale
Is defence skill, attack speed, mount speed, responsiveness/reactions or reload time improved in any way?
Thanks,
Morph
