I think it's a matter of time. I will do a sub if I have time, love the theme.

I dont really have an idea of what to do, but if I think of something I shall try and create and submit it.

Dammit I had a good idea but no time to submit this week

And what about (post-)apocalypse for a theme, I think it could give truly awesome results. And yes I play fallout 3 to much

Fallout 3 is an awesome game! I love the whole apocalypse stuff. I did a huge art project on Chernobyl quite recently for my college, I think that would also make a good theme.

However, the entries for the Surreal GC Comp, in my opinion, were not too great in quality.

I completed my surreal comp a bit after the submissions were put to vote, I think it could have a been a two weeks round.

I suggest you try a game called stalker: shadow of Chernobyl, really great atmosphere, and there's a new installment coming out called stalker: call of Pripyat.

how about an open comp, where you can come up with any concept you want?

I know i didn't enter the apocolipse because i couldn't think of anything (mind you, i think that some of those are some of the bet ever, so i would have been left in the dust...) this way people can just go wild

We already had a freestyle theme, it was called "My Art". But maybe when it's time to change GC manager we could have that, I personally don't think it's fun. It's more challenging with specific themes.

What if we could have 2 2 week comps running at the same time.

Example. Week 1. the first comp starts with a 2 week deadline.
Week 2. the second comp starts with a 2 week deadline.
Week3. Time for voting in the first comp and a new comp is started.

What's good with this system is that we all get more time and that more people would probably be able to submit there art.
