No unit flags or banners

I played BC back when it first came out and I remember each faction having new flags and banners. I reinstalled recently along with the patch but now none of the units have any flags at all. The only possible thing I can think of is I also have Stainless Steel with the submods Total Combat and Real Combat/Real Recruitment, but those were installed before BC so I don't know how they'd overwrite any BC files. I'm using Kingdoms with patch 1.3. Anyone know how to fix this? I've already tried reinstalling BC and the BC patch.

Hi you need to open your brokencrescent.cfg in the SEGA/Medieval II Totalwar directory:

there you look for the entry:

[video]
...
show_banners = ...
...

it should be quite at the bottom if show_banners is at = 0 then change it to = 1 and the banners should show up again.
