    Default Death of a King

Share your humerous/heroic/embarassing Faction Leader deaths!

Did he die leading a heroic charge against impossible odds, taking hundreds of the enemy with him?

Was he pulled from his horse and butchered by militia during a scrappy border fight with rebels?

Was he accidentally javelined by his own side while chasing down the fleeing enemy?

I'm sure this has been done before but what harm, share your (ex) leader's final moments with the world.

Inspired by King Domhnaill the Tyrant of Ireland, RIP 1293 to a flaming catapult boulder from his own battle lines.

My Byzantine emperor usually had a peaceful death.
My English king was usually mowed down by the archers.
My Turkish king usually died from friendly fire.

I once had my main army attack London, and was going to boat my King from castletown to command the siege. I used one single longboat that was attacked by pirates. Viking king got killed off by pirates, how ironic.

Have to lol at that, what else can you do?

King Domhnaill's massive siege army rebelled the next turn and turned into two units of gaelic archers and two units of Ulster swordsmen. I'm sure they sold the catapults off to the dastardly English. Revenge was had on the rebels at the hands of my Ridre and Horseboys, and the avenger was adopted by the new king. A fitting end I think.

My Kings usually retire after about 40 years of conquering. They piecefully die of elderdom.

ive never had a faction leader sie in battle, but in a fight with some rebels, native archers (in melee) killed hernan the conquistadore (and nobody eles from that unit) in a cavalry charge(he was chargeing obv). all the jaguar warriors & chinquaha were dead and there were 3 half units of archers standing in the city center.

i hate peasants/rubbish mob units in the city center, they just dont die

Try having him mowed down by your own artillery.

My Apache chief got into a fight with a bunch of peasants and was kicked to death. Literally, his death animation was getting kicked in the crotch and keeling over dead...

Then of course there's the ever popular death by enemy siege artillery where five different catapults fired and all hit my bodyguard.

On a somewhat related note: anyone had their king offed by an assassin? I must be honest, I don't think I've ever even seen an enemy assassin. I know that's kind of the point, but I don't remember ever catching one in the act or having young priests/merchants/whatever die under mysterious circumstances.

Not my king but my faction heir has been.

My king died heroically after his bodyguard was ambushed moving from one settlement to another. 31 bodyguards Vs. 400 enemy troops. I actually won, no joke, with 16 guys left but sadly, my king was not one. He died just before the mass rout began.

I have never had an assassin attack any of my characters, and I've played this game a lot!

What's up with that? I see them all the time. Inquisitors get me though.
