    Default The Milanese

Whats wrong with them? I mean, they backstab everyone, even their own family members by handing out regicide missions very often. They might even be Asians! In Europe!!

You'll find that every faction is potentially like this. I got a Regicide mission from Hungary, for instance, and they where complete backstabbing krauts.

Milan tends to do alot of Backstabbing. I think it's a mix of the Frech-German gene.

Yes i have noticed Milan will often backstab until they are excommunicated, then is the time to attack
If you face me in battle you had better rout quickly, or you might be captured...

I don't see them as backstabers........Ok yea their @sses sometimes but I usually make them vassals by like making forts near Genoa and Milan and
if you do that they won't betray you and instead will attack Venice or France or someone.......

Back on topic; your absolutely right France. Milan, even PERFECT relationships, will backstab you with their miltia spammed armies... always keep a small unit of some heavy infantry and some heavy cavalry near them. that should get rid of the Genoese Xbows and Spear militia's

I just love going to war with them though. I get some cavalry, take a bunch of Genoa XBows prisoner, and sell em off to ever rich Milan.

yeah milan always seems to have enough cash to pay the ransom. and also alot of units to catch and ransom hehe...

my best try ever was me using the scots fighting the english. i had 2.000 men and they had 1.800. (normal unit sizes, so that's a big army). I won with only 24 losses and i killed 600 captured 1.200. DARN what a ransom like 5k haha

ps: a faction leader is worth 13-16k. only had that twice, since they usually rather die then run (and if they run it's hard to catch them)

oh noes just border horses VS mostly spearmiltia's. my cavalry made a flanking manouvre and surprisingly the WHOLE army routed. and since i had lots of light cavalry...

it was quite early in the game...

Back on topic: Milan is prolly backstabbing because they're surrounded by 3 factions, with only 1 rebel settlement nearby and 2 islands. Because of this and the quick conquering of these they can only attack other factions. They are just desperate.
