Don't worry, you are much better off than you think

. The reason you have limited economic production is because you live in the mountain highlands of Scotland (not very conducive to agriculture). Remember you will be able to make trade relations with provinces that touch your provinces. This will help out your economy. On the plus side: you are in a mountainous province with only one way to expand. hence you have no one to attack you in the back while you wage war to the south. you also don't have much in the ways of wealth. Why would the vikings make the treacherous journey across the Atlantic and raid people who have little?

Exactly right! It is people like me and Cain that should worry about Vikings.

Plus, we are in the middle of everything. Everyone can get us. Who can get you. Consolidate, and then obliterate.

Actually, me and Cain are in the worst of positions...totally exposed from local enemies and viking raids on every one of our provinces...sheesh...

compare your position with many others and you'll thank yourself lucky, your basically me, but with an extra province, a bit more money, and extra warrior hold, better defense and mountainous provinces, so in that context your doing well
