I am going to soon start my redesigned viking era campaign with a streamlined map. This game will be much more manageable for me so it won't stress me out (as much) like the crusader game did.

I need 16 players to start So far I have 16! If you wish to platy please let me know which king you would like to be.

    Game Map complete!

Can't wait! I loved the Sengoku game. Mainly because I was the de facto winner.

    I kid! I kid!

It has strong RPG elements if you so choose (you will have a player character who is a king) but also contains a strong boardgame-style element of strategy. Combat is determined automatically using a combat system I have developed. As a player you deploy your armies under the command of either your king or a temporary captain. Any battles that occur will be calculated by me using my system. it is totally automatic like a computer game so there are no decisions made by me on who wins a battle. Basically this game is designed so you as a player do as little maintenance as possible and only have to role play. I still need to add a few elements to the map and tweaks here and there.. but I should be able to start sometime in the next few weeks

i have no idea how to play but im interested in playing. Can i play as the king of fortriu
    Welcome aboard!

It is basically an advanced form of risk. Rather than dice, a computer program rolls the results along with the military traits of your general versus the opposing general opposite trait (off/def)

However you if you play with some good strategic thought, it really helps. Like letting someone take a territory, to over extend them and then batter them in later rounds during your war, etc...

i was thinking Fortriu would be the best choice because it doesnt order many other provinces but after learning about the viking raids i feel as if it isnt as good a choice as i thought

yes but having only one province is a total bummer. Though than again, with all of Dumnonias armies concentrated in one place, when imb39 attacks Tischdecke and his Saxons at Defnas it wouldnt be easy to stop and would put the Dumnonians within striking range of the capital while still retaining his solid defense...

And looking at the map, the Mercians could easily be ganged up on by Vizigothe and the many smaller nations bordering it...

This game is gonna be interesting...

But you have to remember. The incomes of all factions is not going to be equal whatsoever. This isn't a "fair" game by any means. I am sure many smaller kings will quickly become vassals to stronger factions (either voluntarily or through force). I am sure the Mercians will form alliances that deflect some of their more obvious enemies.

ahhhh i see...is income relative to the size of the province? Or is it seemingly random?

its relative more to location and productivity of the lands. Mountainous lands in the north and in wales are far less productive then the lowlands in the east. However, terrain will also affect combat. It is much easier to defend a mountainous region than a flatland.
