Default Weird highs and lows of fkoc or mtw2

Played this game a lot now especially this brilliant mod. Had no problems playing the grand campaign as Parliament but now I'm playing it as The King.

Playing on Very Hard level but I did find that the Royalist Armies are better positioned to retake a number of cities in the first year, I took about 6 before Parliament could counter attack.

Then a couple of strange things happened.

I defended Gloucester with 589 me against 2463 almost 5v1, they had artillery and I didn't but I managed to defend it and kill/capture 2152 with the loss of only 86 men!

Now I'm not sure if they AI was a bit annoyed at me but after this event it started to get a bit naughty.

Firstly in the next two battles my reinforcements failed to arrive (Delayed?) then while defending winchester with Rawdons army (Royalist) the AI attacked a small force that was rushing to help defend it, just outside the gates so this meant a field battle with the small force and the garrison against the AI's attacking force. The problem was that the garrison failed to arrive for the battle, I held my ground with the smaller force and the AI with a much larger force sat at the end of the battlefield and didn't move. I lost this battle even tho there was no fighting and the timer ran out. When we returned to the Camp screen the entire garrison (A full stack) had totally dissappeared including poor Marm Rawdon himself, a msg came up saying he died... ...he didn't die he was stolen along with the rest of his army.

I've never come across this 'glitch' before, the attacking roundhead army just sat there (see screen shot) looking at an undefended city. Anyway wanted to know if this is a problem with fkoc or MTW2 because I've never seen it before. Anyone else come across this?

Sadly my last save was before my amazing victory so to revert to the last save now means I'll have to achieve another miracle again.

I'm glad to see you've found the slant is towards the Royalists. In the early stages they should definitely have the upper hand. Playing as Parliament you should have to make those Scots work hard for you.

Nice one. Gloucester was important during the war (as you know) and it was bravely defended.

This happens because of an option in your cfg. It's something like unlimited_men_on_battlefield=0, change it to a 1.

When we returned to the Camp screen the entire garrison (A full stack) had totally dissappeared including poor Marm Rawdon himself, a msg came up saying he died... ...he didn't die he was stolen along with the rest of his army.
Stolen to the other side, or rebelled? Both are possible/feaures of vanilla med2.

Sorry if i sound like I'm making excuses lol
