    Default Strange unit behaviour?

    Just tried your mod and I really like it, something different finally

    But I noticed that many musketeer units show an odd behaviour after firing their first salvo. While some units will work fine (first row shoots, crouch + reload whilst the second row shoots) others will try to run around after their first shots causing the whole unit to mave back and forth a few metres.

    Anyone else discovered such behaviour? It's quite annoying especially during shootouts in the streets which almost always end in a total mess.

    EDIT: I figured the problem out. What the unit tries is to put the first row of musketeers at the formations' end and thus cycling through the rows ready to fire. Unfortunately the pathfinding really turns this into a mess. There are however some units acting like I wrote before, in which manner only the first two rows of gunmen actually fire. I'd prefer this because it prevents the chaos caused by Medieval 2 pathfinding on the battlefield. Any way to change this?

    This is an annoying bug musketeers have in med2/FKOC. Perhaps an animation guru can fix it, no idea.

    This can be fixed by taking animations from Kingdoms and using them in M2. The musketeer fix is in the version and is compatible.

    fire_by_rank is still bugged in Kingdoms.

    even though the fire by rank is bugged,it seems in the best interest of the gameplay and reality of the scenario to leave it intact to better simulate the time it took to get of a well placed volley/salvo during this period of warfare.Otherwise as we all know the gunners tend to fire far too quickly leading to a one sided massacre as the troops are marching into position or pikemen are attempting to close.

    Agreed, pathfinding for musketeers in kingdoms is maybe about 10% better then in medieval but still not worth the hassle. Like Alpha said, mayb some glorious animator can save us. Just to let you know I blinked twice.
