Need help installing

When I try to install it, it says that cant update 1.00 to patch 1.30. What do I do?

If you didn't installed the patch 1.1 and 1.2 that is your problem... There is a Sticky thread with links where you can download then have a look.

I have exactly the same problem as mentioned here.
I have just a new 64-bit vista computer and when istalling kingdoms it says it can't install Medieval II version 1.0 to 1.3 and after he said that insallation is aborded.
what can I do I allready tried what SEga said on their website.
what is UAC? that you say I could turn it off

I also have a similar problem. I first tried installing Kingdoms, and it said it couldn't update from 1.0 to 1.3, so I downloaded 1.2 from the TW website, and then when I tried to reinstall Kingdoms, it tried to upgrade to 1.3, but then it said that it could not locate some file. So a third time I tried, this time turning off UAC and only installing Crusades campaign. This time it did install, but when I proceeded to run the game, I got two script error messages, asking at the end of the message if I wanted to run the script. Not knowing which to click, I decided to click "yes" at random. Then it said it encountered an unspecified error and will now exit.
Now, when I try to run just plain M2TW, it also says it encountered an unspecified error and will now exit
What can I do now?
EDIT: Oh and I have Windows Vista too
