Hmmm ... got a question for LT concerning houserules with 7.0.

Since Auxilia Archers are no longer recruitable everywhere (and reading the unit card of Garrison Archers), what's the typical legion unit composition?

For now, I apply the following:
    1 General
    9 Cohorts
    1 First Cohort
    3 Spear Auxilia
    3 Light Auxilia
2 Late Cavalry Auxilia or Roman Cavalry

As support army to each legion (or for two legions working together), then I apply:
    4 Garrison archers
    1 Artillery
    4 Cavalry
I am also considering to add to this:
    1 General
    4 Spear Auxilia
    4 Light Auxilia

    Any comments/recommendations?

i should switch your 3 licht auxilia from your army with the 4 garrison archers from your supporting legion. because archers are more effective(unless your fighing armys with elephants, then it should be 2 javalin and 2 archers).

also i dont think you should use garrison archers in field armies as i think they are suposed to be used as garisson(hence the name).

I find archers bit underpowered in the game. Still, harass choice number one.

Basically just switch Garrison archers with what you would use Auxilia Archers for. Garrison archers are lesser archers. And really have no effect on the game save for looks and cheaper costs and less attacking power.

    Thanks for the reply LT.

Then, I think I will rather apply the legion composition above (with more Light Auxilia instead of Garrison Archers), and place the Garrison Archers in the support army instead.

When I go to the east I will hire some Cretan Archers or recruit Syrian Archers, but only for those legions I send over there who face missile strong enemy.
