Just realized that China has never been in TW

There are Mongols, Japanese, and Indians once in all the TW series but never China even though they were a giant. How come they were never included even in Medieval? Question though will they be included in Empire since they sa there is 50+ factions?

He does make a good point though - it would be interesting. I know not in our current version but they were/are a major force - be interesting for example to see what would happen if a Chinese invasion force arrived instead of the Mongols - how far would they have got I wonder?

A good point, but your thread would have been better posted in the generic M2TW forum.

Still, check out All Under Heaven, a mod for M2TW covering pretty much all of medieval asia.

it would be like shogun total war, seeing how they warred for 500 years among thermselves then with their neighbors losing control of their own region at times. very interesting and brutal (most complex weapons of the time) of people/times.

I don't think China is a place you can just tack on to the game. If they're going to do it i hope they do it right rather than just include it for the sake of it.

There have been a few East Asian Total War projects but I don't think any have seen the light.

agreed. I read the thread "All Under Heaven" and saw the flags that read "Middle Kingdom", which is historically inaccurate for that time period. Being a Korean myself, I don't have high expectations for this mod at all - I'll probably be disappointed at inaccurately portrayed warfare/units/society/political relations/relative power/land ownership/provinces and so on.

Unless a team of historically dedicated modders like BC team or SS team takes it, I'm not too thrilled.

Of course there's a possibility of it wow'ing me, but I don't want any nation to become the next Ireland.

As a Mestizo, I was a little disappointed to find the Philippines wouldn't be included in the mod, but the team made some pretty convincing arguments for why they shouldn't be included.
But...
If Ireland, Lithuania, and the Templars can run around in SS, I don't see why the Flips can't pull off the same trick in AUH (that and the team said they're happy to endorse a mini-mod I'm gathering ideas for!)

Yea, I'm really hoping they add the island off the southwestern coast of Korea. Even if it wasn't its own region, it should be there for the sake of geographic accuracy.

YES! 剣聖 which is actually kensei or the more commonly used 　剣豪 kengô if I am correct and my Japanese does not fail me. Would be fun to play Miyamoto Musashi or Kamiizumi Nobutsuna again after all these years!!!
