    Default 2008 Modding Awards

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=216508

We would really love to be voted the most anticipated mod of 2008, with your help we can claim this award and put our mark in the community. I for one am really keen that my team gets the recognition they deserve, they have worked particularly hard individually throughout 2008 and I know that it would give us all a really big motivation if you voted us as No.1!!!

Curiosity. We had a similar thread like this over at the Frontier and the forum moderators deleted it. How'd this one survive?

There's no honor lost in losing to another great mod.

True, TATW does look sweet, but I don't think it will hold my interest as long as DotS will

Also Dots is working with one fanbase, and that's Total War, but TATW is working with two; obviously this will call for more fame amongst others. It'll be something close to amazing if Dots actually does win something against it; however, with that said, I do believe that Dots will be a better and the BEST Medieval 2 Total War mod to come.

Well if DotS achieves half what it wants, TW will be played in entirely different way. I personally have grown somewhat tired by same fundamental gameplay scheme so I sincerely hope we will achieve this new way of gameplay :-)

How is that the problem when new skin for units are not the priority of DotS?

We will introduce system of placeholders which means new units using vanilla/other mod's skins.

The main goal is to deliver new and unique gameplay.

But it would be great fun take some screenshots of vanilla units and call them with fancy new names pretending they are new units :-)

Good idea! And this is the most promising medieval mod, no matter what the polls say. . .
