Wow that's very nice mrcosta, great work![]()
Thats the faction I thought was missing the most. Any England/norman invasion haters will be tickled pink to defend the emerald isles from english oppression.
Just out of interest, how did you make room in the EDU?
What faction did you remove?

I think you are overdoing it.Too much heavy infantry, creating a England clone with different colors is not a good ideea.I see that you have all the heavy infanty of England plus the dismound Imperial Knights variant for Wales.
I think you should go with the units form Britannia ,the plated spearmen(balance then so they can hold against dismound Feudal Knights),the two handed axemen and some swordsmen that are comparable with the norse swordsmen would be good for the heavy infanty role.
Give some armour to the longbowmen,i hate the way those from the Brittania look you could share all England's longbowmen with Wales.
For cavalry those from Britannia would do,i say you should remove the mailed knights you have Mathrafal Horsemen how are comparable with them and you could add mounted longbowmen.Look at France's rooster you will find what you need .
Oh it's a bad ideea removing Ireland go for the Templar faction you will have more free unit slots and you are removing the fantasy element or are you afraid that the Irish will defeat you and you want some rebel settlements near you?![]()
I have to say that I would agree as well.
Removing Templars would be a better idea.
4 factions in britania? All land in Levant for Egipt?![]()

Well, I've seen the templars becomming vassals of egypt and then owning turkish... but... you know...
Yeah I usually am witness to the Templars getting slowly sodomized by the power of the Ayubbid dynasty.
Also yeah, I sort of agree with giving Wales more skirmishing power and less armor. Truth be told I know very little about them.

well , i'm not sure if i'll remove ireland....
i'm will play with them , i think i go change some things in EDU.
I def agree with shockblast. More archers, skirmishers, & l. inf., less armor. Britannia had a good balance. Prob atrocious history though.
The Welsh were subjugated by the English in the late 1200's by Edward I the Long Shanks. So historically the Welsh never got to full plate and semi plate armour. So it is hard to guess what sought of heavy infantry/cavalry they would have feilded in the late to high medieval period. The only thing that is Welsh is the longbow, so perhaps make their archer roster like such.
Peasant Longbowmen
Longbowmen
Longbow Militia
Armoured longbowmen (bowmen clad in chainmail)
They were very feirce and war like due to celto-pictish origins like the Scots and Irish. So some celto-nordic style swordsmen/cavalry would be better then an English clone roster. It really all depends on wether you want to have a semi-realism feel to the Welsh faction or you just want the "meh, what if" feel to the faction. SE.
Nice job mate,as i told it depends on you how you want te represent the welsh, historicaly they didn't have the heavy infantry and heavy cavalry but had more skirmishers, foot and mounted. This will give Wales a different feel them England. This is my point of view you don't have to do it like this.
A good esthetical change would be to change the full helm model of the plated spearmen(normal and upgraded) and the upgraded two handed axemen to a nasal helm (like the light swordsmen)this will take away the feeling of dismounted knight and i say it looks cooler.
This is my ideea about the rooster.
Infantry:
Peasants
Spear militia
Welsh militamen
Welsh Axemen(like Viking Raiders)
Welsh Swordsmen (like Norse Swordsmen ,i see you have the skin ready)
Armoured Spearmen(no point in using Meirionniedd Spearmen because they are almost the same thing and you are waisting a slot)
Welsh Pikemen(i see you have a skin for them)
Margannwg Spearmen
Rhyfelwyr
Ranged:
Archer militia
Peasant Archer
Longbowmen
Retinue Longbowmen
Welsh Skirmishers
Magnelwyr(compared with the other Hand Gunners they have a shield and an axe with makes them alot better in melee)
Mounted:
Border Horse
Mathrafal Horsemen(they are like Mailed Knights with a smaller shiled but with an axe, that means AP)
Teulu
Teulu skirmishers
Mounted Longbowmen(look at the French rooster)
This is the way i see an Welsh rooster.![]()
I've just been doing a bit of Googling about medieval Wales. The thing about Wales is that the nation of Wales didn't exist as such but was a small confederation of feifdoms and clan based kingdoms. Each would have had their own unique units and abilities depending on the terrain of the kingdoms. For example the kindoms that covered the forests would have feilded alot more bowmen as hunters ect ect, while those that levied men from the mountainous regions in Wales would have feilded a hardy array of infantry. I've also added a map showing the individual kingdoms and feifdoms. SE.
