Well, I don't have this problem with textures... but what the hell is this guy doing? he's throwing his spear the wrong way round
Attachment 26687
I suspect I don't have the problem with textures because I have overwritten everything. Probably this is not an old problem but a new one with the latest beta.
Plus I hate how they look dirty![]()
Hahahe's throwing his spear the wrong way round![]()
So by installing your mod over the ob3 those texture problems are gone?
Cheers.
I don't know unless you can tell me how you installed DLV.
I'd imagine it would work for the huscarl prob you mentioned, but you'd need to install my mod and then 5.8b3.

I can second the huscarl problem, guess mapping issues are related to graphical enhancement assets which were added to the latest build. This included attachmentsets etc which include shields for example. So I suppose some of assets were outdated.
Are you guys able to form a shieldwall correnctly? I've tried now with a few units but a couple guys seem to keep on moving all the time and cannot seem to find their place in shieldwallI've tried reinstalling a couple of times don't think these are installation related.
I think it's impossible to have a realistic shieldwall in this game, you can use the function to form an infantry wedge which you can then use to break enemy cohesion.
It gives an extra tactical option for human commanders. If you want a harder battle then don't use it because the AI will only rarely use it and never effectively.
Basically pretend that it says "infantry wedge" instead of "shield wall".
An example of usage:
You have 2 of your units versus 3 enemy units.
You want to destroy the unit in the center so you push your "infantry wedge" into the the center unit by clicking behind it and then when it's about halfway into the enemy you command it to attack that unit.
At this point if you have done things correctly the center enemy unit is cut in half with both halves facing towards your "infantry wedge" unit. Now you attack with your second unit and because the enemy has it's flanks exposed it will go down faster.
This works well vs almost any enemy unit.
I wish we could have a real shieldwall as well but the engine is not up to the task as far as I can see.
EDIT: So, did installing my minimod first solve your huscarl problem guys?

I have the same backword faces with my max armor upgrade (light mail) spear militia.
@Taiji
I have installed your files (all three parts from mini mod section) over clean 5.83 but it's still the same.
I have also weird purple textures on shields and swords my georgian mercenaries - look at the screenshots below.
BTW shieldwall formation kicks ass. I'm always using it when fighting in the cities or forts. Common spear militia in this formation can break through enemies line easily because they push forward like crazy.
Hey Slon80, try installing 5.83 again now you've installed my minimod. I only think that will fix the huscarls though. I'm not sure whats going on with the rest of this... I didn't do it!
Thanks for the feedback![]()
I don't have face problems with Ridire units but with some Georgian units
repman
BareBonesWars 8.1 for RTW 1.5
Integration Mod which combines unique strategic challenges due to a 4 Season scripted campaign from 280 BC - 180 AD on several big/small maps and with an ruthless AI on the battlefield.
Deus lo Vult DLV 6.2 for MTW II Kingdoms
Norway+Ireland+Flanders+Kiev+Lithuania+Teutonic_Order+Armenia+Crusader+Georgia,1y2t script, army field costs, Ultimate AI 1.6, big map, military career, economic system, age simulation, heraldic system, new factions, garrison script, Crowns + Swords, Trait bugfixer, religion dependent recruiting, ancillary enhancements, darth battle mechanics
Only problem I have with georgia is spear militia, a few of them have a misaligned shield texture.
EDIT: Please don't post any more feedback about 5.8beta3 in this thread, we already have a thread for this, thanks![]()
