Economy and military
Hey guys, I am new to The Fourth Age: Total War and I was curious what I should do to build a healthy economy with my faction (which is the Reunited Kingdom). Also I was wondering what military units I should primarily use in my armies when I begin campaigning. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Economy and military
You need to get rid of the soldiers you are not going to really need.Upkeep costs are high, you can't afford large standing armies at the beginning of the game. So, either use or disband troops/ships. And preferably expand into Emyn Arnen, once you take the Gardens of Ithilien, you'll have a significant boost to your economy.
The units you'll need depend on your enemies. If you're fighting Adunabar, well, you have the same roster more or less, so it's mostly tactics that matter and you should come to the field with the best units available. If you're fighting Harad, that has lighter but bigger units, missile troops will suit you well and you can handle them even with Gondorian Swordsmen/Bowmen (even M=your militia will do well against them), without need of King's Spearmen/Swordsmen or cavalry.

Re: Economy and military
As with just about every mod I have played, should I set my taxes to the lowest for all of my cities, or shall I just leave them be? Thanks!

Economy at first is tight, so set them to the highest possible where the public order is above 75 percent and you don't suffer a pop growth penalty.
