Is it me or does it seem most funny comedians are liberal minded?

Guys like Dave Chappelle and Najib Amhali are devout Muslims yet they're the ones in their respective countries who joke about them the most.

    Though that make sense.

Well, Dave Chappelle is actually devoutly Muslim, so maybe.

But maybe if you are a Muslim like that guy (useally left) it's accepted to make racial jokes in public.

Well, I think most comedians "attack" the status quo of society and are, therefore, "liberal." Most good comedians are showing what's wrong and pushing boundaries and such and are rather anti-establishment/ against the authority. Its funny to show how the government messes up, not how great it is.

With liberal do you mean the American left or those who follow liberalism?
If it's the first I sort of agree, the second I don't really know.

But are guys like Colbert 'liberals'? They rip a new one in everyone's ass as far as I can see.
Some day I'll actually write all the reviews I keep promising...

I strongly believe in "lefty-liberals" being the better people in general, and therefore are also better at comedy.

If only all people where lefty

My political stance is a total mystery.

Mostly leftish with some (quite far) rightish aspects.

But you could rep me, I really want a crown.....

I thought Colbert was a Republican (or perhaps "classical libertarian" would be a better name, but I dont' know the details of his beliefs, so I can't comment there). Most of the others are liberals/democrats.

Colbert the actor is a liberal. He plays a character, also named "Steven Colbert", who is a parody of Fox News commentators. The fictional character is Republican. But the real Colbert is acting.

Now why would this confuse people?

I strongly suspect Colbert is doing a genious job in acting like one. I doubt he really is.

I dunno, most of my favourite comedians are kind of "Outside" the Political Spectrum - laughing at all, supporting none.

Well in his presidential campaign he ran as a democrat although he wanted to run as a republican but stopped when it cost 35,000 dollars to get on the ballot.

At the core of every liberal is a black heart of envy, greed and vanity.

It is their philosophy after all.

As a teenager, I was taken to various houses and flats above takeaways in the north of England, to be beaten, tortured and raped over 100 times. I was called a “white slag” and “white ****” as they beat me.
