No Battle Sound

Hey guys, I just reinstalled a fresh SS 6.1, but for some reason I have no voices in battles. Is there a quick fix for this? Thanks

I tried the link in KK's FAQ, but I just get a link to Fileplanet, no downloads.

Yeah I noticed the answer in the FAQs too, but the link that King Kong gives to Fileplanet just sends me to the front page of FP and not to a download.

Does anyone have the file that is needed to be downloaded? Thanks!

Thanks man, but unfortunately I still have no sound

I am going to try a fresh install of MTW2 and SS sans the other mods I use and see if I can get SOME sound at all. Thanks for the help though!

Please leave any other suggestions you guys might have

After putting in a new descr_accents.txt file you have to delete the events.idx and events.dat files in the SS\data\sounds directory or the changes wont be in the game

Yeah man I tried replacing the file and deleting the two events. files, I still get no sound in the battles. I hear the music, but the units make no calls, no general speeches etc.

I tried to reinstall SS in it's entirety, still nothing. This is pretty messed up :S

Just wanted to clear something up - I get no sound from ALL factions, not just the Danes, Kievans, etc. as noted in KK's FAQ.

then I'd suuggest that you redownload all files since maybe some error occured during download

So I redownloaded all the mods, and reinstalled SS and still no sound. I tried to run Kingdoms by itself and I noticed I had the same problem. I guess I am going to have to try to reinstall the entire game and see if that fixes it. Really weird problem :S
