Well, Everytime i see something about fascism i always see hitler, extermination, etc.

Fascism is not Nazi's, Nazi's where fascist. Fascism is a political ideal and its annoying how countries will try so hard not to have strong nationalism, or any right winged ideas because they are afraid of being called a fascist.

Now Intelligently, how do you believe fascism can actually be used?


I believe it will be used as rascism in many ways, unless you can control the propaganda.

Fascism uses historically ideals and nationalism to bind a nation together. They usually invade for revenge, or in hitlers case France and England Declared war on HIM so he invaded them. They usually use fascism to expand to gain territory lost to others.

Lets discuss.

I don't believe Fascism can be justified in any way even if we ignore the actions of the former fascist regimes. The wiki definition itself does the talking. Fascism promotes:

1. Imperialism and expansionism
2. Opression and brainwash
3. War
4. Dictatorship and police state
5. Genocide

You forgot to remove war and dictatorship (Post-Stalin leaders weren't really dictators). BTW, Communism the way it is supposed to be would not have any of those characteristics.

Communism might have worked out better in industrial countries like England or Germany that had a strong worker's culture.

I'm to lazy to read about political ideals as I am playing a M2 Campaign right now, but would English-Canadians hating French-Canadians be fascist? For example, supporting that the Country adopt English as the SOLE de facto language at a federal level?

Well, I suppose the Germans (the ones who didn't get killed/sent away) considered life under the Nazis to be at least marginally better than having to burn your own money because you can't afford firewood...

Personally, I think that Fascism (not Nazism) should be take over in a time of crisis like manofarms89 said, only (just like the Roman Republic) the dictator should step down when things are back to normal...unfortunately, he may not be too willing to do that...

Well, not many leaders (not even the ultranationalistic ones, hopefully) are reckless/stupid/insane enough to start a nuclear war, unless they are suicidal or their nation is on its last legs.

for the Germans? yes. fascism is about the survival of the nation. don't get me wrong, im against fascism. but if Hitler wasn't such a nut job it might have succeeded. like my post said, the only use i see for fascism is for emergency powers to ensure the survival of the state. i didnt say it was good or right.

wow assuming much are we? I believe he was refeering to the emergency of an enemy at the gates where a enemy army would approach the gates of rome itselrf and a dictator would be appointed to serve like three months after that he was reuired to step down or else he'd face the people.
