Install Problem?

So I've followed the proper procedure for installing SPQR 7 but I don't think it is installed correctly...I've played pretty deep into the game and don't have diplomats or infantry other than the Hasti...

Although Im playing 6.4, still might be the same mechanics I hope. Try elaborating more on the issue

Thx all. I'm running vista. I have reinstalled rtw a couple of times. I have built the gov's palace and didn't see this problem with v6.4.

Sounds like I am alone in this problem.

Well, are you sure sure sure you got everything right? The 7.0 file, the original game as instructed, proper installation and ingame needs?

What do you mean about in game needs? Do you mean activating the script? Yes...did that. I will try deleting ensuring the RTW folder is deleted (although I think I did that last time). I loved 6.4...i hope 7 is whorth it. Thanks for the work on this all.

delete you RTW folder after you uninstall RTW and then install RTW the patches then SPQR 7.0 full version 290mb

well this isnt a reply, but i am having problems with downloading this mod because of the X6[1]exe. I go to winrar to see if i can download it from there but I can't. Can u help me? I'm stumped =(. Thank you for your help

What do you mean whit this? Downloading a file has nothing to do with with an early install file. Are you using IE or Mozilla Firefox as browser?

I was (still am) trying to download the SPQR mod for RTW. I dont know what that is either but i was hoping someone did/does. sigh***. Still wont work because winrar is denying me access to download. Anyone know how i can gain/get access ?

I have no idea what that program is, but the DL links should be working fine. Btw, what are you trying to download?

You should have winrar installed and download 7.0 from the download link provided in the download section. It does work just fine...

I just started downloading the file, and from my point of view, it seems the file is executable, so I wonder, how you plan to use winrar on it?

I think this is an older version of SPQR becous i still have one on my HD SPQR_6[1].3. So did you play this mod before? Also could you take a screenshot of this problem and post it?

Try shuting Winrar down uninstall it and try downloading a new winrar program. I have to addmit this is the first time i hear some one say winrar is denying you access for downloading some thing from the internet. Are you sure it isn' t your internet browser?

Again what are you using for internet browser? IE (Internet Explorer) or Mozilla Firefox?

I did play the mod before, but i put it into the original RTW folder, not a copy. After i realized what happened, i unistalled RTW, the reinstalled it, got the new patches, and made a copy of the files once they were done with dowloading the patches.Once i did that, i downloaded the mod, and now it doesnt work. To answer your question i have played it, but not very long, and i have IE. Still working on getting the screenshot. Dont want to give you a wrong screenshot of the problem.

Also, do you use the same RTW icon to start the mod, because if it is, then that maybe my problem because im getting mss32.dll error. If it is, how do i fix it?
The X6[1]exe. i got from filefront, then i went to the other website (whose name i forgot) and the exe is SPQR_7.0[1].exe.
(This is for you czePowerslave) I planned on using winrar to download the file since that is the program it is saved in.

Are you sure you installed the game to the right directory? And yes you use the same shortcut for SPQR as for RTW.
