Deus Vult: Northern Wars

Hi everyone, you might have noticed or even tracked the progress of our little mod in our thread(s). The project is to re-create Northern Europe as a map in its own.

The mod will feature many recogniseable factions, such as:

England
France
Holy Roman Empire
Denmark
Poland
Scotland

The mod will also introduce players to factions they might have not played before, such as:

Flanders
Teutonic Order
Lithuania
Norway
Sweden

New skins for ALL faction units will be introduced into the mod. These skins are taken from the mod Deus Lo Vult and are being 'touched' up by me, with Repman's permission of course

Sweden has completely new skins for its units, which were re-colored by myself. Norway and Denmark have also recieved re-skinning jobs. Here's a few examples:

We have a map, but it is nowhere near completion. The base map files were contibuted by Lord Condormanius and we are attempting to build the map up.

But this is why I have come to you guys, My team and I love the game, but know very little about modding. I have done few text-edits and reskins but that is it. We need the following talents:

Coding/scripting (we have one, he codes for his job but the game is far different than what he does).

Mapping (In need of one BIG TIME! The mapper and I are following the tutorials but it would be nice to have a seasoned mapper show us the ropes).

I'm afraid I've dragged us all into the deep end of the modding pool without floaties around our arms.

IF you could lend any sort of assistance to the mod it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm willing to help with anything bar modelling! Seems like you have a competant skinner so anything else you need?

Oh shouldn't this maybe be moved to the DLV mini-mods section? Just a thought.

Keep it up! Hopefully this will make Harry release DLV: Europa quicker to prevent competition

Thanks for the replies, I feared people had lost interest in this mod. Unfortunantly my current team has left the project. I currently need a mapper, and a scripter/coder. Historians are also needed, I currently have Carl Von Döbeln helping out with Swedish history and general content writing (faction descriptions)

hmmm.. looks like your from sweeden. Jeg er fra Norge. Any way, I woundring if you got the Unit description of Scandinavian units(Sweeden an Norway). They are pretty the same apart from some units.
Armour, weapons and correct names of each unit(Not sami axemen and norwegian fuedal(mounted)knights etc)?

Yeah, i will mostly be doing the faction description and unit research.

And yes, they are quite simular, the swedish and norwegian units.

Hey these textures look great. It would be cool if you could post a screenshot with them.

I have some experience scripting but I'm a little overwhelmed with "real life" right now. I'll keep track of you guys now that I've found you and if my time frees up, I'll send you an example of my work (which I've only done for personal use so far). Good luck though, this looks like an interesting project.
