    Default Reinstalation

O.K. here's the story: I've installed R:TW, and later installed RTR. Unfortunately, I didn't do that right, so I can't play vanilla or other mods any more. So, can someony give me a complete idiot's (I admit) guide to reinstalling vanilla R:TW (I have Gold, so it's with BI), and then properly installing RTR (and Chivalry also)? Thank you.
P.S. I would like also to save and reinstall my current RTR Platinum game. Is that possible?

If I was in your shoes I'd re-install your Gold version (which I beleive is fully patched) as you normally would, just following all instructions. I'd suggest if you want to have different mods for your RTW game then get a hold of the RTR PE 1.9 mod switch version (around 122mb in size and still has all the bits and peices of that larger version AFAIK) and install that according to instructions.

This one will install into its own folder within the main RTW folder so it doesn't overwrite the core files of the game. When that has been installed it puts its own RTR shortcut on the desktop. You can still run vanilla RTW (this is what I have done on my version, as I have the mod switch and also have installed Invasio Barbarorum for BI so I am basing my advice of this. I can run all versions fine). The Chivalry mod runs off RTW:BI or 1.5 so you'd be right to download and install that (going by their instructions, I've never used this one) into the right folders.
You should then be able to run vanilla, RTR and Chivalry without much dramas.

Hope that helps (if you haven't already figured it out), if not, oh well..someone else could help perhaps

Also, if you want to be able to continue with your current save game just copy the *.sav files (from your campaigns) into a different folder before you do any uninstalling.

Personally, I would keep the orginal game folder 'clean' and simply take a copy of it to apply mods to. That way you should nver have to go through the uninstall / re-install process ever again!

The install instructions are with the download: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=105336
