    Default The stupid AI

Even when you play on hard or hardest the AI can do some mayor misstakes. Here is one i have taken advantage of several times:

I place my missile units a bit in front of my Inf, in loose formation. I order them to fire on the enemy spearmen and H-inf units. But the enemys archers are just standing ground and are firing on my missile units (wich are in loose) instead of firing on my more precius Inf-units just behind my archers. I am loosing missile units, while the enemys tight ranks (yes they dont change to loose formation) are being peppered with arrows.

After both our amunitions have run out, i advance with my fresh and fully numbered Inf against their shaken and damaged ones. Of course their archers are fully numbered, but they are now match for my forces.

A human player would have fired at my Inf instead of at my archers. This is just one example.

Have anyone experience and used this tactic i have mentioned? Or mayby you have used the AI´s stupidness in some other way on the battle?

PS: I am playing MTW2 1.0, i dont know about the AI in the patches...

Depends what difficulty you have it on.Most people think difficulties
make enemy units stronger and yours weaker but no. It just
makes your ratio of winning higher and your AI's dumber. So if you
think you can take smarter AI's and more complicated battle stradigies,
and A lower winning ratio then go ahead it won't change your units
    performance in battle.

The AI in the patches is better not in a WOW way but it is a bit better, if I were you and if you want to enjoy the game more get the patches, it's definatly worth it and if that is not enough you could try out a Moddification of the game made by members here but you will need thoses patchs to do so.

Well it depends...I would've just rushed your archers with some knights and then pulled back and repeated...
