Rarely, I use the money cheat, but I like the uphill struggles you have to face at the start. For some reason, I can't play anymore when it's clear you'll win.

After I beat Rome with the 3 roman factions, I started cheating, when I started to play BI, I used cheats when it got to the point where is became way way to much to manage....

The only cheat I use is move_character and that's if I accidentally move my men somewhere I don't want them to and I'm out of movement points.

Never. With an AI as weak as RTW has (particularly in vanilla), its never necessary.

No, i always want to win my games without them.

Even when i´m in trouble and loose the game i don´t cheat.
It´s bad luck that I have lost, but i don´t need to win every campaign I start.

cheating is soemtimes fun. in provincial campaigns i upgrade my cities to the max where i can make the high tier units straight away. i then defend that one city for the rest of the campaign. its hell hard having only 1 city. i never really get past 50 years when the romans come with their 3silever army

Hmm I used to cheat like that too. But after some time you'll realize the AI is so crap that the size and experiences of their army just don't matter

In Rome I have never used cheats (because I didn't know them) except toggle_fow.

In MTW2, because I hate Milan so much, I cheated just to get them to off and die already. Also in MTW2, I tend to fund the Russians or Byzantines a lot; I use the add_money cheat multiple times then give all the money to them as a gift. I don't want them to be defeated .

The weird thing about RTW is people don't accept gifts as often.

I tend to run two games at once - one in which cheats are never used (except for occasional FoW removal to see what the rest of the world is doing) and one in which cheats are not uncommon (generally just money, but I'm not above process_cq if I just want to break something).

I've never used cheats, in fact don't even know any. But I sometimes reload in troublesome situations which I consider a way of "legal cheating". I'm trying to stop that too, so now I only save before a battle I don't want to play myself, give my AI Comander a chance. If he fails, I reload and do the odd job myself.

I hate the moment I read the cheats...I hate them and doN't use them...but when my PC slows down I just want things to be quicker. The moment I do taht the game is fun no more.
"Therefore I am not in favour of raising any dogmatic banner. On the contrary, we must try to help the dogmatists to clarify their propositions for themselves. Thus, communism, in particular, is a dogmatic abstraction; in which connection, however, I am not thinking of some imaginary and possible communism, but actually existing communism as taught by Cabet, Dézamy, Weitling, etc. This communism is itself only a special expression of the humanistic principle, an expression which is still infected by its antithesis – the private system. Hence the abolition of private property and communism are by no means identical, and it is not accidental but inevitable that communism has seen other socialist doctrines – such as those of Fourier, Proudhon, etc. – arising to confront it because it is itself only a special, one-sided realisation of the socialist principle."

never cheat as this is hardly fun, since the most part I enjoy in the game is the uphill struggle. besides, Rtw is already too easy so what's the point.

I use toggle_fow if I want to see the other side of the world. I add money if I have to bribe retardedly large stacks.
