Advice/Help/Suggestions needed to save my dynasty!

Im currently working through an epic game with the Seljuks. Using SS 6.1 and no additional mods. The only modding i have done is slight tweak in unit attack and defence stats and a reduction in the chance value for the healther systems.

I have 28 teritories yet only two family members....My sulten died leaving his two sons. They are both now 35 and 30 and still have not married...?why, how can I help this? anything I can mod?

I get offers for adoptions but I do not want these. Furthmore some of my generals (who I started with) now have incredible stats but whenever they fight they never get man of the hour or adopted in, where as inprevious western campaign my generlas usually would. I get man of the hours if I fight without a general but again, I dont want this.

how can I get my two family members to marry (and they've been sitting in cities so there is ample chance) and also to get my current generals, not some randomers, adpoted in the line.

any ideas? anything I can mod to increase the chances? Its just so frustrating trying to secure a line while the AI spwans itself 8 star generals and family members when ever it wants.

if you get a princess u can marry her to the awsome generals to get them to join family
idk man i think u'r getting unlucky lmao...normally when i play unmarried family members get marriage offers after a few turns in city

muslim factions don't get princeses so I gues u should fight battles with generals where the odds are like 3:1 against you(obviously it should be clear or heroic victory for you)I know thats hard
or try marrying the generals to other factions princesses

Seconded. Try sending your diplomats out to track down foreign princesses. I hate the family tree screwyness in MT2W!

I agree. What you could do is add the ancillary *doctor* and *apothecary* at the beginning if you have an earlier save. Its kinda cheating but since it doesn't add any money but only an increased chance of having children I think it would be a fine exception.
~give ancillary_this_doctor etc.

he needs women for the royality first otherwise the most fertile king/prince/etc. won't get children

That and those traits seem to be largely irrelevant in the long run - if you have more cities than family members, your men will procreate, no matter the negative traits going against them.

Strange that you're not getting marriage offers with that many regions. My guess is that you can't get an adoption and a marriage offer in the same turn, and thus the game's spamming you with adoption offers instead of marriage offers. You could try making a backup save, adopting a few, then seeing if a marriage offer appears. Then just ship the adopted Generals on a ship, find some rebels and let them die.

Track down a Princess. If you have two family members, one must be the heir. I believe Muslim factions, although not having princesses themselves, can marry another faction's Princess to their own heir, you just have to find a Princess.

I reccommend saving a lot with just those two. You should be safe from natural causes considering their ages... but you never know.

Your game sounds like so many of mine. I like to keep my bloodline 'pure' but getting a third generation is usually quite difficult as they just dont marry. Even though i dont like it i do usually have to end up adopting a new son and create a new bloodline

Seconded. I had a game where it came down to an unmarried 48-year old prince, who was being quite anti-social. Luckily, a princess came of age and I managed to marry them. I'd saved it a turn before they married (in case they didn't "get busy" so I could marry the princess to a younger general) first time around he produced a daughter and then died, second time, he didn't produce any children and died. Third time, as they say, is a charm, and he produced a son, and lived long enough to see him come of age!

Apart from tracking down a princess, the only other option is adoption. Sorry.

i don't like having a "pure" bloodline, eventually they all get inbreed and that kind of nasty

Not true. You can get Generals (at the start, bribed ones, or ones trained (in SS at least)). They have a chance to get "Man of the Hour" and become adopted.

same thing has heppened to me man! been searchin the forums looking for any answers or advice but it looks like these things happen. I was having the best run as well with Venice, then my young king was tragically struck down before he could have kids!!!

Unless it was a truly epic battle, I'd have re-loaded the game. At the best of times I hate FM's dying, but I pull out all the stops if it's a Royal Family member.
