Cant end turn

hi guys, new to the forum and mtw2

basicly ive been playing along quite happily on my new game (only recently bought it) after playing all the previous tw games over the years, its a blast.

being from england i was naturally enjoying just messing about. currently conquered scotland, ireland and a few parts or northern france. currently at turn 72 if that helps, i also just had a message saying one of my princess's wanted to marry one of my generals. heres what the problem is.

my world map buttons no longer are clickable except the 3 in the centre (army, agents, buildings) but i can still 'hotkey' open other menu's. i can no longer end turn or click my finances and thus unable to continue with the game. ive googled/hunted around this forum and found a few similar issues but without any answer to them.

i wonder if anyone knows if this is solvable? i really dont want to restart my campaign yet and would be worried this would just happen again

Welcome.
Do you have any savegames so you may have a chance at going forward, again? I assume this is unmodded. Have you installed any updates?

Could be a bug and only recourse is starting another campaign. One maxim-save often.

running on Vista 64. I'm near the end of an egypt campaign, and suddenly I can't use the hudbuttons except for the center panel.

Memory leak. There is no fix. You'll have to start a new campaign.

You may want to try this even though it's in Empire's tech forum: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=238484. It was released with memory issues before 1.2. I don't know if it will help but itmaybe worth trying.
