Will RTR affect my current campaign?

Hello all. I was just wondering if downloading RTR will overwrite my current vanilla campaign? I have a brand new install of RTW 1.5 with BI also. Is RTR Platinum the correct version to download? Thx.

If you choose the mod switch version of RTRPE the original files won`t be overwritten. It will install itself in its own sub-forum. Same thing for The Iberian Conflict. RTR 6 Gold and RTRPE non mod switch versions will however overwrite your vanilla files and will put an end to your campaign. So stay away from those.
Of ocurse you can also make a copy of your game folder, place it in the same The Creative Assemby folder as the original Rome - Total War folder and name it something else. Like RTR. Then you can install RTR or any other mod there and still have the clean, vanilla folder next to it. A process you can repeat for any new mod you want to install provided you have enough harddisk space.

Uh.. how about removing the non-mod switch version from RTR website? It's very confusing to newbies IMHO (it confused me too )

It's an option, but I would really need to discuss the issue with a Platinum spokesperson before doing so.
