Depressing as this may sound, I think this war will only end, when one side or the other is totally wiped out.
The whole setup does not lend itself to a peaceful solution.

No, rocket bombing isnt helping their cause. I mean seriously, if I was an organization like Hamas and I had beef with Isreal, placing inaccurate rocket salvoes that barely killed anyone would not be a effective way to bring about change, nice pun now ftw, it would only exacerbate my weakness. A 500 man suicide bomb group, each of course being individual suicide bomber, would have a much more spectacular effect.

The Palis got what they wanted, now the big question is when/if ground forces will enter Gaza and how long they will stay.

Israel is acting as it should. If an enemy is firing at either you or the people you're being paid to protect the appropriate thing to do is neutralize the threat in the most efficient manner possible. If there are a few dozen civilians around the target, how sad. Oh well.
