    Default XGM & TTW Compatibility.

I want to install both the Extended Greek Mod & Troy Total War and would like to know if the two are compatible.

It is possible as XGM uses an own map where all of the data goes in. TTW uses the RTW map IIRC, but it is possible as you simply have to make a second The Creative Assembly map in your program files. One you use for TTW, and the other for XGM.

TTW is modfoldered and so is XGM. If by compatible you mean being able to play them both on same install - Yes they should be.

Everything seems to be working Great. How about XGM with Rome Total Realism?

IIRC not as Rome Total Realism changes the normal RTW data, and when that is changed TTW and XGM don't work any more.

If you want that, you have to make a second RTW map and install RTR there.

What do you mean by "you have to make a second RTW map and install RTR there". What files do I have to duplicate?

You should copy all of the data, exept the XGM and TTW folders, to a new map and install RTR there.

Alright, I basically just copied the 4gigs worth of files in a new Rome Total War (2) Folder.. and I will install RtR on that. I think that is what you said.

RTR Platinum is a mod-folder editon of RTR. You can install it without overwritting your original directory. It can be found here.

If you want to install mods without going through the annoying task of copying your folders just read the discription the mod and it will tell you if it's mod-foldered. And I suggest staying away from any mod the overwrites the original directory. Those are the worse. "cough Res Gesetae cough".

Edit: Res Gestae just realeased a mod-folder and made some great improvments. Certainly worth downloading.

Like dirty_M said, RTR Platinum is fully-modfoldered and will function alongside XGM.

But I've had compatibility issues with both Troy and Invasio Barbarorum in the past.

Yes that is exactly what I tried to explain.

I have an RTW folder for each mod I use... Makes for no problems, and its not like I need the HD space.
