^ For all those who don't know the guy.
I'm a bit unsure on this one. Things seem suspicious. However, if he really did murder the policeman, then he deserves death. Otherwise, he should get away free, unless he was somehow an accomplice to the crime.
No. Why is that even discussed?
that
ing murderer. If he did kill the police then he should have been executed along time ago.

If he has killed the cop, why should he be freed and deserves to be executed but if he hasn't he should be freed.
It would take me at least a month to sift through the evidence and come to anything close to an informed opinion, but as this is TWC I'll say no.

I'm not sure. There is a lot of damning evidence. However, apparently there is a great amount of conflicting eyewitness testimonies and that at least two of the witnesses for the prosecution have admitted to falsifying their testimony. It's very hard to tell what really happened.
Kind of a weird case if you ask me.

Why is killing a cop worse than killing any other person?

If he did it, to the gallows/chamber/chair/firing squad with him, cop killers deserve nothing less
I agree no life is worth more than another but in my opinion the life of a person whose job is saving other lives by risking their own lives should be protected more.
And in response to another person I also agree that its naive to think that the cops chose their job solely to save others and risk their lives.

Funny, Im watching OZ as I never really got into it when it was on HBO. In season 2, the paraplegic black guy who killed a cop, and admits to it numerous times, learns that the judge during his trial is being indicted on charges that he took bribes to find people not guilty.
So he wants a retrial, but for what?
Do you know any Police? The Police I know do it for that exact reason. To Protect and Serve.
They are not doing it for the money. They don't particularly like guns, or have a complex that allows them to feel superior. Most grew up in families where the men became Police, and so they did too.
The amount of crap they have to put up with. How quickly it can all go to hell by being fired for political reasons, or sued by citizens in a politically correct society gone mad. I don't envy them one bit.
And I have about as much respect for the crap that comes out of my ass, as I do with people who don't like Police overall. Guess who is gonna come and save your life if you ever need them to...
