Default Onward, Son's of Dido! "Where to, sire" uhhh....

Playing as Carthage, I have pushed and blitzed Messena, but the Scipii army evac'd before I annihilated it's garrison. It twas the first time I had ever seen that with the Romans on a Homeland Territory. Before the Invasion, they left Messena with all of their troops except a general and Hastati and attacked Syracuse. I took Messana and returned my troops to Carthage to get retrained. Scipii still just battered away at Syracuse.

I noticed that for every turn a city is under siege, the besieged Garrison loses troops so when Syracuse was 1 turn away from submission, I attacked and wiped out the Scipii army, infiltrated Syracuse, and took it (because of th eScipii besieging them for x amount of turns each unit had about %5 of the original strength, like the Armoured Hoplites had 13 men. I owned them.

I have 50K. All of Sicily and Starting Carthaginian Lands. Where do I go now?
PS- I have Aleria (Corsica/Sardina) reinforced with 2 Iberian Cavalry/4 Iberian Infantry. The Julii ain't getting that S.O.B. without massive Causalities. Napoleon's Homeland Shall not Fall!
PSS- I'm training a second army of 2 Elephants, 4 Long Shield, and 4 Libyan Spearmen plus 4 Peoni(sp?) Archers. (Elephants and 1 Longsheild done)

Crush the Romans-they are biggest threat to you.Don't allow Marian reforms or you are screwed unless you are an excellent player.

carthage is imposible to play on vanilla without modding the morale values yourself. kudos to you for taking out the romans.

maybe just reload the save a couple of times. soemtimes when my saves get an error i just reload and it works fine. and yes i would defeinitely kill rome ASAP.

Alright. That was on Vanilla, but I have a new Campaign on Amazon:TW
I'm playing as (you guessed it) Carthage.
I have conquered all of North Afrika (which is like 15 more territories) Spain, Italy, Illyria and Southern Gaul. I have 6 Legions in Northern Italy that are left over from the Conquest of SPQR and 3 Legions (Very Experienced (5+ chevrons)) that I conquered North Afrika, Iberia and held off the Roman war machine for 5 turns. Epic Battles, Epic Leaders. (Each is lead by a 10* General)
I have killed Spain, Numidia, Gorgons and SPQR.
Allies with Greece, Egypt, Gaul, Briton, Macedonia, Thrace and Dacia.

Screenie later if this sparks interest.

If you really like Carthage that much.... play EB!
Not saying that mod isn't great or anything, it's just EB really did the Carthaginians really well.
