Good day to you brothers,

On this day we Christians come together as individuals, as families, and as communities to recognize and commemorate the birth of Jesus, who we call the Christ. It is a momentous occasion that brings us together as one, the celebration of new life in this world and the beginning of a new era. However you conduct yourself on this day, whether it is by exchanging gifts with family and friends, going to mass with your community, or simply by enjoying a peaceful day at home, I (and I hope all of us) wish that you enjoy it thoroughly.

To those who celebrate the coming of the winter solstice, I personally offer a conciliatory hand of syncretism, for we are both basking in the radiance of a time of life renewed and covenance reaffirmed, whether natural or supernatural.
