Easiest Minnow Factions? (or Minor Factions)

Hello anyone,

I'm a newbie here, looking for mods to make RTW and MTW2 more exciting and different options, so the first option I clicked is this mod, Rise of Persia and I liked it already, but I still scratched my head and can't make a simple decision: which is the smallest and easiest faction? I want to do a campaign which I can make a small nation to become a great empire.

Obviously I'd say Persia. It won't be easy, but it starts as a small nation that becomes a great empire. An easy small faction to start with would be Taras I think, or Kyrene.

Lakedaimon is a good choice for smaller factions i think , you should destroy Athens for expand your empire quickly then slowly become a great empire

Yeah, The spartans have the best troops available at the start, and troops most people can easily associate with. Persia is the more exotic alternative, and my favourite to boot.
